Dr appointments and a little bit of worry~

Hi all-

Today was a BUSY day and this week will prove to be filled with working, and taking Kellan to much needed Dr visits. A little history my little Kellan has had a cough for literally all 11 months of his life. I always tell everyone he wakes up needing a smoke and a bourbon to get his day started because he has that "Hacking cough". A cough that reminds me of my own grandpa-(Love you gramps!) But seriously worries Jason and I. So we were able to get a last minute appointment at Denver Childrens Hospital which is an amazing facility with fantastic Dr's but is a pain to get there. The kids and I and Debbie ventured out there this morning after I worked a few hours and heard what the good Dr had to say. He did a chest Xray and did confirm it is not normal for our sweet boy to be coughing all the time so we will start at the bottom with some new medications and take it from there. Then on Thursday he will see Dermatology because his poor skin looks and feels like an alligator! Hopefully this will reveal some things for my boy, but until then we will do what we can for him at home but I am amazed at despite his cough, skin, etc...He is happy, adorable and has the most amazing disposition! I look at him and see that we are doing something right even if he is having a few health issues. To end our afternoon of car rides and Dr visits we ventured off to Cheesecake factory and it was AMAZING! We came home with a few pieces of cheesecake for tonight..YUM!!!! All in all a nice day, filled with mommy things and I am blessed to have Jason's mom here, it really is a huge help. I am amazed at how much worry your kids can bring though, I always said I would not be that mom...The mom who worries needlessly, who wipes their nose ALL THE TIME, etc...Haha! But I am a mom who watched/saw/felt them fight their way into this world almost a year ago and I guess I need to sit back and watch the Casebolt twins do amazing things. For now I will close and go play with the babes, and do homework at some point and remember I am blessed. Thanks everyone for reading and following in the mommy journey...It is a wild ride thus far!
