~Random acts of kindness and a pay it forward situation~

~Today began once again WAY TOO EARLY but with the trio they are hungry and ready to go somewhere around 6am or earlier. So I drug my tired butt to the kitchen while they talked to daddy on the iPad...Got their breakfast ready and I ate a little but seriously felt like a zombie, I sleep awful these days, filled with nightmares and fear for some reason yet I digress...

The kids took a nap so did mommy, so we all felt much better after that. I decided we would still keep our mall plans and so I got all 4 of us ready to go which is no easy or quick feat! Haha! An hour plus later we were on the road singing songs and enjoying our car ride, I hit the drive through Starbuck's and decided to pay the person behind me's order. A Pay it Forward situation, I feel God has blessed me so why not make someone's day! I hope it did...:-) We went to the mall, got all of our stuff we needed and stopped for a pretzel, and if you know me at all you know I LOVE to people watch...So here I am with a HUGE triple stroller and 3 adorable kids being good but wanting their snack darn it! I am sitting at the table enjoying sitting and watching, a wonderful older women who I later found out was in her mid-70's began chatting with me. I always get the same questions, Are they triplets? Wow were they planned? Etc...I love the questions so no big deal to me. We talked about the military and how I am a veteran and my husband is currently in Korea for a year. How she was a military wife, etc...A wonderful conversation, that I needed and she needed too I think. She said God had blessed her no matter what and I said the same, would not change my life for anything, I am busy YES, I am tired YES, but I LOVE IT-YES! The kids were getting restless and she stood up and said I want to do something for you...Somthing I always do for a Veteran or a hard-working mom/person or someone I admire. Then she went to shake my hand and in my hand were 2 crisp brand new 100 dollar bills. I of course start to cry and try to give them back, she insisted that God blessed her and she wanted to do it....WOW! I hugged her, told her she made my day, simply by the conversation and that I hope the year is wonderful for her.

I walked away feeling shocked, thinking someone who did not know me gave me that much money? I knew what I had to do with it! I have decided to put it into the kids savings account and someday tell them the story of the wonderful and giving women who made my day even better. I tell you what everyone, everyday I let things get to me, I am sure I am not alone but after today I realized I need to stop and smell the roses instead of saying I am too busy to (insert adjective.) I need to enjoy my trio more, and lately I have done less cleaning and more playing and reading with them...How fun they all are! This lady not only gave me a generous gift, but a life lesson, stop and talk to someone because you both may need it. I can tell you I was feeling lonely and a little sad but I walked away feeling like I made a friend...

Thank you everyone who takes the time to read my ramblings...It means the world! Much love!
