Labor Day~

Labor Day has many meanings, to some young it means an extra day off school, to those working in Federal jobs it may simply mean an extra day off, but to most it means something all together important, passionate, vital. Our Freedom is VITAL, IMPORTANT, PASSIONATE, and I think if we ALL look at our lives and see what has been given to us at the sacrifice of others we would simply weep, be it weep with saddness or weep with gratitude, but still WEEP. When I joined the Air Force a few moons ago it was a running joke, "yeah sarah, see you in a week" well guess what? I made it and I kept surpassing those dreams, those hurdles, that passion for my country was there and I felt it's presense on my shoulders daily, I still do even as an Honorably Discharged Veteran. I think back to when when my Grandpa rambled about being in WWII, I wish I would have listened and drank in that information because sadly 22 years later after his death I still do not know much. I always kick myself for not listening enough in situations and that will always be one of those "If only" situations in my heart. This Holiday and July 4th are very important days in my life personally, not for discounts or the kick back's one might get as a Veteran, it is more because of where our country is. We are on the cusp of (Hopefully) electing a new President into the White House and return to how things should be. Now mind you to any who are reading this, this is my blog and so please so Democrate/Republican debates. I am a Republican and proud but this is not the focus of my blog, the sacred holiday is. I always try to pay it forward during this weekend and buy someone's meal, I may try tomorrow or Monday, but we need to get back to focus people. Love your country, Love the people in it, Love each other, Be proud to be an American, finally...Support those who are the reason for your freedom! I thank God everyday that I can wake up in my own home, make choices, raise my children as I see fit and finally remember those who lost it all for us. This is all pay it forward, serving your country is just about the most selfless job you can ever sign up for, but it is a job one will NEVER regret. I look back on friendships I still have because of the military, things I have seen and done because of the military, the military formed me, molded me into an Airman, I Sarah Ann Casebolt am a PROUD Air Force Veteran. Remember to thank those around you, and take pride in your life. TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR COUNTRY. Happy Labor Day Everyone, much love and blessings to all~ Enjoy the OLD OLD Air Force pictures.

  1. Happy Labor day! This reminds me of a great Memorial day post. Don't forget the regular work force out there, I think we all need a well deserved day off! <3
