Spring has sprung here in Florida, whatever that means for this state! In other states like Colorado and Chicago, even West Virginia has had snow, sleet and drastically cold temps! This year has brought busy times, and lots O' job hunting! With no luck on the job front I am blessed to say that I still have my wonderful job at Starbucks and am able to work about 25-32 hours a week there! Like I have said before, wow is that job HARD! I wear my Fitbit all of the time and it tracks sleep, what I eat, how much water/fluids I take in and most of all my movement and how much I MOVE, how many steps I take and on average daily I take about 8,000-10,500 steps which equates to 3-5 miles. When I am at Starbucks I MOVE, and average about 5 plus miles in one shift which is about 7-8 hours. I work with awesome people and we pound out the drinks, we clean, we laugh, we joke and we LIVE! We do not make enough for the amount of work that we put in but it is without a doubt one of the most phenomenal jobs I have ever had. With that being said it barely pays the bills, any bills really BUT every time I am there I am HAPPY and LAUGHING and SMILING! I was talking with my manager a few days ago and I told her the same thing, that every time I am here no matter how crazy and busy or hectic I am blessed and happy to be working here. I have been working here for just about a year now, and I cannot believe it has been that long! Time flies! This week I made some changes, first of those being I started back to serious exercising daily and eating very clean. Lean protein, fish, and limiting the red meat because I do not need that in my body and I also lack the gallbladder to properly digest as well as a severe Gluten intolerance....So I am doing a cleanse to rid my body of toxins and replace a meal or two daily with shakes. I need to lose a few pounds and start getting into better shape again, bathing suit season is literally right around the corner for us here in Florida! Last week I traveled to California for a week with the kids and me, yes you read correctly-I FLEW ALONE WITH 3 TODDLERS! Thank gosh for Southwest Airlines, they are amazing and they totally rocked! The flight to California was a night flight so the kids slept nearly the 7 hours thankfully, coming back...well let's just say they were WIDE AWAKE! Haha! All said and done I am here, I have survived and realize that in the future we will need to be armed with more snacks and more games for their Mobi-Go things. Other than that I would do it again! Now here we are just a few days from Easter and I sit here on Good Friday in reflection. I am blessed so very much, I have healthy children who might be crazy but are MINE and are HEALTHY and HAPPY and THRIVING! Who might I add start school this fall-AMEN! :) We also have Debbie here and they love having their Mamaw Casebolt here, she is truly a blessing. So patient and kind and takes care of our babies so lovingly. She will be here for Easter, we will go to church in the morning, enjoy lunch together and then I head to work sadly but I am sure it will be a candy filled day of fun and family for them. I will close this with a simple statement, Life is a blessing and I am so happy for that! I challenge you all to live life to the fullest, love deeply, smile always, and remember that life is truly a gift! Enjoy that gift!!
Happy Easter everyone!
