Friday...FINALLY! :-)

~This week was good, I may even go as far to say GREAT! I was missed at work and that is always nice to hear from people, it shows you make a difference however small or insignificant it may seem at the time it matters and that is what this week showed me. I matter! I worked half days this week, will next week and after Memorial Day I will be full time again! Lord willing that is!!! I am still in treatments for my TSH(Thyroid hormone)...a weekly infusion of steroids and they are talking about putting either a port or central line(PICC line-semi permanent IV) in so I do not get stuck every week, and I must say at this point with my black and blue arms and hands it sounds pretty tempting. Depending on how high my levels are depends on how many days a week I do the infusions but I must, MUST remain positive because the minute I don't the icky feelings set in and I simply hate those so strong it is for me! I have been going to the gym 3-4 days a week, the Dr "blessed it" and it feels good to job, albeit a HORRIBLE run time I will get there and I have been working on my muscles again, legs, arms, shoulders, abs, you name it! Not only do I have the diet/lifestyle change with the Gluten free but I have added vitamins, protein shakes at the Dr's request of course and exercise now. A whole body concept as he puts it, and it feels good! I have a little bit more endurance and God willing I will start to taper from these medications in 3-6 months and will be able to feel like me again...I hit a wall so to speak around noon-1pm and so that is my reason for half days until 11-1130 but all in due time! I continue the quest to grow grass in my front and back yards, no easy task mind you but I do a little at a time...I want a nice place for my kids to play so this weekend pending rainy/yucky weather I will plant grass in the back and see what happens! The downside is we have no automatic sprinklers but I am willing to put in the time so I am all about it! :-) I hope that by the time Jason gets home, if all goes well and he gets approved mind you that we can have bonfires in our fire pit and enjoy the outside when the kids go to bed, might even get a few tiki torches. I hung old fashioned windchimes that sound beatiful and an antique hummingbird feeder yeterday, I am really trying to make my home more inviting...We simply gave up last summer as Jason was embarking on moving and all, depression and sadness had set in I think and we clung to our time together instead of putting it into our yard but it keeps me busy and gives me real peace when I do yard work. You see your hard work right away and I think that is what I love about it the most. This weekend is Mother's day and I am reminded what a blessing it is to be a mommy, and to all of you mommy's out there you all do an amazing job! To my own mom, Thank you for teaching me what hard work is..What determination is and means, and love! I cherish you and Thank you for the love you contiue to give me, you have been there many times over the years and I am continually amazed at your strength and beauty. I love you! Well people I am spent! Heading to relax... Have a blessed night!<3 ~S
