Holidays are FAST approaching! Whew!

Holidays are here-It seems this year has been going in MOCK/WARP speed and here I am realizing I cannot do Christmas cards this year with the move, and the fact that life has not settled down long enough to do so! I have always sent them out and darn it this year I cannot. :( Funds are quite tight, along with my not having a job and no renters in our home in Colorado! I did do handmade Christmas gifts to our family and close friends. Christmas is not about gifts, but more about the thought and family/friends. I have realized alot recently about who is really there for you when you need them and I was so happy to be able to do this small yet fun gesture for those people in our lives. I also am activly making adorable little things for my Etsy shop! If you are interested it is www.etsy.com/littleshopofbuttons. Crafting has become my outlet, I make jewelry, and do sewing and make stuff for a home. I guess my style could be termed "shabby chic". It all has a country feel since that is what my house is like, I really enjoyed going to thrift stores and finding things to make beautiful again and make them beautiful for my home. So far the only sales I have had is from my little sister-but her friends like the bows etc for their hair so perhaps there will be a bit of money in that! Also soon my unemployment will kick in so that will help a great deal! I could use prayers everyone-this no job situation is very unsettling but I am trying to remain positive and hopeful! :) School is going good, who thought I would enjoy the study of Psychology as a whole so much? My hope and plan is to be a Social Worker who works with Traumatic Brain Injury patients from the war, so I hope to work in a VA setting. Not many "Hope" for that but I do, as a Veteran with PTSD I hope to help those in need and that have made the ultimate sacrifice. My mother in law actually is one of the reasons I want to do that job, she is a social worker for the elderly and disabled and is so giving and so darn good at her job. I hope to give back, that is my ultimate goal! Also a view that I plan to teach my children, to give back to those in need, count our blessings and remember to always be grateful! What are you all grateful for? What goals do you have set for yourself? For your family? I am grateful for my kids, and my family and few close friends. I am grateful that although tough, the mose tough job I have done to date the opportunity to be a stay at home, it has taught me an entire new level of patience for sure! It has taught me to be more understanding, to listen and to learn to be on their level. Oh and did I mention potty training is not so fun? Haha! Yeah it is for the birds for sure! I am in the process of potty training Scarlett and so far her major fear is falling in the potty! Next Kellan and then Lady Violet! Then I hope in a few months we will be just doing diapers at night and during naps. A lofty goal perhaps but I have got to be honest, we have been dealing with diapers for 3 straight years man-I am done! :) The goals I have set for myself are simple, to continue the road of a Gluten free lifestyle and in the coming months totally heal from this wretched disease. This is a very real disease, some people have asked me if I am doing it as it seems to be the latest "fad diet" out there, to which I laughed and said no way! If people only knew how much this disease takes away from a person and makes them seriously sick. Next I bought P90X, it came in the mail the other day and once my broken hand heals and my back is done being wonky I am attacking P90X heavy and hard! I will be bathing suit ready for this summer and will look fabulous! :) Another goal I have set for myself is simple, I need more self confidence so I plan on working on that one more, and finally just over all health. I wish you many blessings this weekend-Love always!
